Project Overview
Steel Dynamics Ltd, the UK’s largest specialist Stainless Steel supplier, were proud to be invited to manage and supply Stainless Steel profiles to be fabricated on Vortex Assemblies for London’s River Thames 25km Super Sewer clean-up project.
To date, we have supplied over 550 tonnes of 316L Stainless Steel
From invitation to tender to bespoke initial design, our work included:

Preparing a proposal for securing a contract for 7 different Vortex assemblies

Developing a manufacturing plan and schedule in agreement with the customer

Ensuring drawings meet requirement and modifying where necessary in accordance with customer approval

Procure manage & process 550 tonnes of Stainless Steel plate

Cost-effective processing of material to ensure maximum utilization of plate

Project management of welding, fabrication & on-site installation

Organising logistics and on-time delivery to customer’s schedule across 10 sites

Organising site visits by our approved sub-contractor

Agree with customer exact lifting requirements to meet their needs with the use of Shaft

Full manufacturing, inspection and verification of material and profile by Steel Dynamics Ltd

Third-party testing to required standard including quality control compliancy

Providing full material management expertise

Letter of commendation received from the customer upon project completion
